Maureen hails from Southeast Alaska and has loved Oregon for over 30 years. She has a Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Oregon. She has worked with adults, youth, families, addictions OP/ IOP treatment. She has experience in crisis intervention and involuntary commitment, K-12 school based social work and prevention services; 11 years of program development, supervision and administration of a chemical dependency prevention and treatment agency and has taught addiction counselors at LCC and U of O and EMERGENCE staff. She has a passion for Hellinger Family Constellation work, an effective non-verbal approach to resolution of multi-generational family problems.
Currently, she provides Clinical Direction, Supervision and training to staff of EMERGENCE Addiction and Behavioral Therapies in Lane and Linn Counties in Substance Use Disorders, MI/ME motivational strategies, stages of change and cognitive-behavioral approaches. She is part of the team adapting the electronic record system at EMERGENCE for excellent work and documentation in a changing environment. She likes to notice each counselor's genius and share it with other staff to enhance what EMERGENCE has to offer those we serve.
